Random: The "cicak" who died of heat and other stuff

For those who don't know what a cicak is, it's a lizard. You know, the one that stays in your house and what not..

Recently, my mother discovered a cicak stuck on the side of our coffee table. She discovered it when she was lying down on the floor next to our coffee table. I have a feeling that cicak has been there awhile and how did my mother didn't discover it sooner since she's the one always sleeping there.
So our coffee table has a layer of plastic to cover it for protection and we would tape it to the table.
This is hpw the cicak looks like...

The cicak could die under these circumstances...
  1. Our house is so bloody hot that "it" dried up.
  2. "It" was taped on the cellophane tape and has no chance of getting out of a sticky situation.
  3. "It" was taped on the cellophane tape and had no food, no chance in hell of getting freedom and our house is too bloody HOT!!
R.I.P. Mr. Baby Cicak
This reminds me of Bubba Scotland Jones of America's Next Top Model Season 14. May he R.I.P. too...

XD

Have a nice day!!

Random: Pain,pain and more pain

So, I got cut. There was a lot of blood. End of story. Ha!

Ok, fine, I'll tell you...
Last Sunday or was it Monday... I was cutting some onions when I got my first cut on my finger. It was on the ring finger and it wasn't that bad. Just a thin layer of skin came out.
Then just now, I got my second cut. This time it's the middle finger and more severe. I was doing my arts and crafts stuff when I "accidentally" cut myself. I thought it was like a small scratch. Then it started to hurt, then I saw blood. I quickly grab the tissue and cello-taped the tissue(I tend to do that when I bleed). I know I have to wash it but it really hurts. It was like 3mm deep from the tip of my finger. Wanna see? Click here. Now every move I make hurts my finger. I can't type fast now cause the middle finger is the one that helps me type faster. Poo!

Have a nice day!!

Events/Random: Chap Goh Meh

Today is the 15th day of Chinese New Year which means it's the Chap Goh Meh a.k.a Lantern Festival. During the Lantern Festival, children go out at night to temples carrying paper lanterns and solve riddles on the lanterns(I don't do that, I just play). This officially ends the Chinese New Year celebrations.

Apparently only some Chinese people call this day the Lantern Festival but for the other Chinese people called it Chap Goh Meh(people like me). In Malaysia we just call it Chap Goh Meh and we don't play with the lanterns. From what I hear, only China people put lanterns on this day. So in conclusion, I won't be playing lanterns today but I will on the actual day that we Malaysians called Lantern Festival during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Confused? Haha. Apparently there is umm... kinda two Lantern Festival. I don't really know. Haha.

So what my family do on this occasion is that we gather together again like on the Chinese New Year's Eve's day and eat!! However, usually around this time, not every family will be having this dinner because those that are overseas are usually back OVERseas. Haha.

Have a nice day!!

My life me: The day you went away...

It's 12th of February 2011 tomorrow, it means that it has already been 17 years since my father passed away. How time flies... He was buried on Valentine's Day which was also Chap Goh Meh that time.
Gosh! I was about to turn to two years old and he just left...
I don't really know what actually happened. All I know is that a 19 years old girl who just got her license cause my father's death(which is why my mother is so protective of my driving). My father and his friends were heading to church for a meeting. My father is the only one who died.
My mother said I said "Bye" to him before he left the house. The placed he died was just nearby our house. I pass by that place all the time.

Things change when my father died. For example, during the first CNY celebration after my father died, my mother brought my sister and I to go to our neighbor's house for visiting. They gave a sense that we when there for pity, like we money something(they leave that impression). I mean what's wrong with us visiting them. After that year happen, we never when there to visit them. Few years later, I tripped their little boy(who was around my age, we played, and I put a stick through his bike when he was riding and he fell, I never played with him ever again).
A little more on the family: This neighbor of mine, they are so inconsiderate. The family owns like 7 cars(big expensive kind), a van and a boat, they take up the whole neighborhood's parking space and they parked in front of people's house. How on earth people are gonna park their own car? Driving to my house would be like going through a maze. It's so hard to get through.

Anyways, I miss you dad! Love you lots.

a nice day!!

My life me: It's day 6

So it's day 6 of Chinese New Year, which means 8 more days until Chap Goh Meh!!!

I know I promise a lot of pictures, but I didn't have chance to take... I was busy helping my aunty for her "Open House" on the first day, busy serving people coming my house on the second day, busy visiting people on the third day and on the forth day I sent my sister to the airport and stayed at home all day, I was wiped out.

I was BUSY BUSY BUSY BUSY BUSY!!

It was also hard to take picture since it was smoke all over the atmosphere...
Anyways, here are some pics...

This is the flower that my mother took from my aunty's house because she have too many flowers. We do it every year...

This is the Chinese New Year's Eve's dinner... I know it ain't fancy but it's delicious... You see the food in the round container thingy? That's the kind of food we have to eat every year before starting the dinner(It's my grandmother's traditions that I don't get) It has to be eaten accordingly, you can't just simply take anything, it has to be in order... Each food represents something. I can't remember which or what but it goes something like this, you eat this certain stuff and you hoped for long life, then you eat another and hope to have wealth,(you know how Chinese people love wealth, health, longevity and what not) something like that, I wasn't listening to my grandmother's words.

This is one example of the "junk food" you will eat when you visit people... This is taken from my uncle's house.

This is taken on the first day. Some big shot of Sarawak came to my aunty's house. I think it's the TYT, the ministers and some other important people. The police escort is from the TYT though. The other important people of Sarawak don't need protection like he does. It's kinda cool. Finally got a picture of this. Always wanted to many years ago when I first saw it. Couldn't before because I didn't have a camera with me every year until this year I got a camera phone. Haha...

So this is my Chinese New Year, the first few days are when all the action happens, so now I look forward to Chap Goh Meh when I get to play lanterns!! Yay! *I'm so acting like a kid now*

If you celebrated Chinese New Year let me know. If you visited someone during the festival let me know. If you visited Chinatown during the festival let me know. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU DO!!!

Have a nice day!!
